Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, Attorney General of the federation and Minister of Justice , Abubakar Malami, SAN and other political bigwigs on Saturday campaigned for APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu , his running mate, former Senator Kashim Shettima and other APC candidates in Warrah, Ngaski Local Government, Kebbi state.
The governor and the minister also urged the people of the state to vote for the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr Nasiru Idris, Kauran Gwandu, his running mate, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida and other APC candidates in March this year.
Bagudu noted that the party members and supporters had made him happy by turning out in large numbers to attend the campaign rally submitting that this would translate to victory for all APC candidates .
Bagudu, who is the Chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum, added that the APC-led Federal and Kebbi State Governments as well as other elected and appointed leaders had done well to bolster the socio-economic development of the state and the country in general.
Bagudu’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahya Sarki noted in a statement made available to Pulsenews that the governor also said getting Tinubu, Kauran Gwandu and other candidates elected will result in more dividends of democracy in Ngaski local government, Kebbi state and Nigeria as a whole.
‘I am here to appreciate the warm reception accorded us like a similar one not long ago in Yauri and Shanga.
APC is geared towards making your lives better , vote for all APC candidates’ he averred.
Bagudu cited various Infrastructure developments and the springing up of mega industries and rice mills across the state as glaring examples.
He said among others, that the incumbent government has empowered farmers, fisher men, youth and women groups adding that Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu would even surpass what he has done .
Bagudu informed the people that President Muhammadu Buhari has continued to appreciate their sustained support to his administration and the state government.
‘Buhari, while greeting you has also urged you not to allow yourselves to be deceived by some deluded politicians and massively vote for APC all through.
APC for instance has a tested and trusted accomplished technocrat and an Iconic labour leader as its gubernatorial candidate just like other APC flag bearers at all levels’ he said.
The Director-General of the APC gubernatorial campaign council, Ahaji Sa’idu Dakingari urged the people of Ngaski local government to vote for Kauran Gwandu as governor of Kebbi State and also vote for other APC candidates.
The State APC Gubernatorial candidate, Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu expressed delight over the show of love and warm reception accorded the APC bigwigs in Warrah while promising to sustain and build on the achievements recorded by former Governor Saidu Nasamu Dakingari, who is the Director General of the APC campaign Council , and the incumbent Governor of the State, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.
He thanked the Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami, SAN, Senator Bala Ibn Na-Allah and Hon Tanko Yusuf Sununu for doing their best to improve the living standard of the people through their projects and empowerment programmes.
Also speaking, Justice Minister, Abubakar Malami, SAN, submitted that Warrah was neglected during the 16 years that the PDP controlled the federal government.
‘That sorry story happily changed in the seven years of APC at the centre and in Kebbi State with several invaluable infrastructure development recorded, including the completion of the Sokoto to Kontagora road, among others’ Malami said.
He cited the Yauri sub -station which provides electricity to the Emirate, the ongoing establishment of military base , HYPADEC, Social intervention Programme such as the N-Power and Agricultural development, among others.
The Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Baballe Umar Yaurii also urged Warrah people to reciprocate the kind gestures by voting for Kauran Gwandu and other APC candidates.
The Abubakar Atiku Bagudu administration has according to him done well and impacted the Ngaski people citing the establishment of a private Tomato company and the ongoing construction of a military base to bolster security architecture.
Other developmental projects and programmes he mentioned include arrangements made for 540 facilitators under Better Education Service Delivery for All who were engaged and paid N60,000 each for a period of nine months.
37 schools were also provided with N200,000 each for maintenance and construction of toilets, while 120 Islamic schools got N5, 000 each, schools in Warrah and Libata were also renovated.
Hon. Muhammad Adamu Birnin Yauri of the state house of assembly, Hon. Tanko Sununu Yusuf, who represents Yauri/Shanga/ Ngaski Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and Senator Bala Ibn Na-Allah representing Kebbi South also cited construction and renovation of schools, hospitals, healthcare delivery , provision of water and youth empowerment, among others as some of the developments recorded in the senatorial district under Bagudu.
Governor Bagudu accompanied by the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, SAN later made a stopover at GB Foods Tomato company in Gafara, Ngaski.
The Minister appreciated the efforts of the Governor and commended him for providing an enabling environment for investors in the state, noting that this would help to sustain socio economic development of the state.
The APC campaign team also visited the District Head of Warrah, Alhaji Abdulmalik Nuhu, Warra and that of Birnin Yauri , Alhaji Maniru Sulaiman before leaving for Yauri.
