A socio-political activist and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar’s ally, Reno Omokri has come out to rank the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu high in his leadership abilities.

According to him, Tinubu is far a better leader than most politicians in the country.

Omokri took to the micro-blogging platform, Twitter to declare Tinubu a leader who has good qualities of listening to his subordinates.

He noted that far beyond his counterpart in the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, Tinubu has a better performance record.

Omokri, however, opined that the only issue he has with Tinubu is “My point of departure is drugs. A drug lord belongs in jail, not Aso Rock.”

The activist wrote “Tinubu is not a bad leader. He is actually a better leader than most Nigerian politicians. He has the capacity to listen to subordinates.

“He also has a much better performance record than Obi. My point of departure is drugs. A drug lord belongs in jail, not Aso Rock.”

Meanwhile, the Federal High Court sitting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, has sacked the majority leader of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Victor Uzoma Chukwu.

Chukwu was sacked as the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC’s) House of Assembly candidate for Ezza North West State constituency, in respect of the 2023 general elections.

The lawmaker, who is eyeing a return to the State House of Assembly was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before his defection to the APC.

Chukwu’s sack, bordered on pre-election matters and the authenticity of his membership of the APC in Ebonyi state.

During the court proceeding on Friday, reliefs sought by Barrister Leonard Igboke, in suit No. FHC/AI/CS/163/2022, (between Barr Leonard Nweke Igboke Vs Victor Uzoma Chukwu and 2 Ors) were all granted.

Delivering his judgement, Justice Riman Fatum held that going by the Judgment delivered by Justice H A.Njoku of the Abakaliki High Court on 24/5/2022 (just two days to the APC primary), Chukwu, purportedly became a member of APC on 24/5/2022, after the close of sale of nomination forms and screening of aspirants conducted by the APC, in the state.

He further held that Barrister Leonard Nweke Igboke was the qualified and duly nominated House of Assembly candidate of the APC in Ezza North West State constituency of the state.

The Court, therefore ordered the 3rd Defendant (INEC) in the suit to delete the name and particulars of the 1st defendant, (Chukwu), from its portal and consequently accept and publish the name of Barr. Igboke as the authentic candidate of APC, for Ezza North West Constituency.
