A seasoned broadcast journalist, Abolade Adekunle Ismail, has declared his intention to contest for House of Representatives to represent Irewole/Ayedaade/Isokan Federal Constituency on the platform of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), AMILOADED reports.
Ismail made this known while speaking to newsmen on Thursday, saying the “time for youths to take over mantle of leadership is now”.
He added, “We cannot continue like this and expect something good to come out. We must all get involved.
“I’mcontesting to bring democracy to the door steps of my constituents, am going to the green chamber to represent the youths and our parents. It is high time we say no to money-bag politicians.
Let’s change those who have been on the corridor of power since 1999 and bring in new minds.
“If given opportunity to serve my people, I am going to sponsor bills that will cater for young people in our society. Also, I am going to bring dividend of democracy to my people. I will facilitate many projects to my constituency,” Ismail said.
Ismail hails from Abolade’s compound, Popo area in Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area of Osun State.
