Former Governor of Lagos State Bola Tinubu has said that Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola belongs to him. Tinubu, while speaking at the palace of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, listed major active political officers of the Muhammadu Buhari administration who belong to his political camp. He listed Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola and Aregbesola. Expectedly, his mention of Aregbesola drew loud applause from those at the palace. Both Tinubu and Aregbesola are believed to have deepened their disagreements over the politics of Osun especially over the choice of Governor Gboyega Oyetola for a second term. Aregbesola had accused Oyetola or deliberately Rubbishing his achievements while in office while accusing Tinubu of condoning the action. The situation boiled over last week with Aregbesola pitching his tent with another contender for the governorship ticket of the All Progressive Congress in Osun , Moshood Adeoti. The primary election that was held on saturday saw Oyetola being declared as the winner. Supporters of Adeoti are disputing the credibility of the exercise. Most people believe that the relationship between Tinubu and his political godson has broken down irretrievably. Those at the meeting who heard Tinubu’s speech are of the opinion that the duo may have their own way of coming together over their differences.
